    • safely drive large F350 4x4 support vehicles in variable backcountry terrain
  • Reservations Assistant
    • Part-time office support

  • Bike Mechanics
    • Primarily daily tune-ups of Santa Cruz Rental bike fleet, growing Ebike fleet
    • Annual Buff-out and sale of bike fleet, building of new season bike fleet (50+ bikes)
  • Equipment Manager
    • Coordinate repair of outfitting gear and equipment
    • General Cleaning of facility and landscaping
    • Handy-person opportunities, such as painting and shop improvements
    • Vehicle maintenance, bike rack repair, and painting
  • Shuttle Drivers
    • 5- 10 hr shifts dropping Clients at tour trailheads in 15 passenger vans and 4x4 SUV's, such as Canyonlands National Park or the Bears Ears, and then returning to Headquarters.

  • Food Prep and Logistics Coordinator
    •  Coordinating bulk food purchases for multi-day tours, as well as portioning and preparing specialty items

Operations Manager Job Description 

General Purpose: 

The Operations Manager should understand how Rim Tours’ operations function from start to finish and be able to oversee and manage the efficient implementation of our tours. Will perform administrative and supervisory functions related to the planning, organization and coordination of various operations within the business. Will cover gaps in office work for both day tours and multi-day tours. Works closely with office staff, guide staff, mechanic staff and owners to achieve optimal performance of the business of providing guided mt. bike tours both on a daily basis and as multi-day trips. Be able to step in where needed to facilitate tour operations and have good problem solving skills. 

Supervision Received – position supervised by owner of Rim Tours 

Supervisory Role – supervise multi-day guides through scheduling and communication coordination with office staff and owners. May supervise mechanic staff and other work roles within the business. 

Essential Functions: 

Assist in Day Tour and Multi Day Tour management – client communications and feedback, booking tours, scheduling guides, bikes & vehicles 

Assist in Business administration such as permits, and other compliance concerns 

Participate in marketing, tour development, web presence and social media 

Manage feedback from guide staff 

Menu program management, food ordering 

Vehicle management and maintenance program supervision

Equipment management and ordering 

Rental equipment management, repair, ordering 

Assist with Employee trainings – guides, drivers 

Assist with after-hours phone responsibilities and emergency response

Day Tour Mountain Bike Guide

Rim Tours offers daily guided mountain bike tours on the world class trails in Moab, UT.

Excursions are either half day or full day in length on trails suited for riders ranging in

ability from introductory to expert. Come join us and share your passion!

Guide Requirements:

- Competent Mt Biker and have own Mt Bike, in good working order

- Possess: current First Aid (preferably at Wilderness Level) and CPR;

current/valid driver license with good driving record

- Good communication and customer service skills

- Maintain high degree of professionalism at all times

- Familiar with Moab mt bike trail systems

- Understanding of and ability to teach introductory mt bike skills to clients

(Instructional courses are available in many places, including Moab)

- Possess basic bike repair skills (e.g. fix a flat, broken chain)

- Knowledge of area geology, flora and fauna to give interpretive educational talks

to clients during tours (This can be learned in time and with some effort)

Season:

- Early March through mid-November, 7 days/week

- Preferred that guides are available 2 – 5 days/week
