Rim Tours backcountry and day tour guide Scott Pauker set out to circumnavigate the world by bike. His focus was on generosity. He started out at the end of May, 2014 on a ferry from Bellingham, WA heading to Alaska, By April, 2017 he'd ridden all the way to Prudoe Bay and from there, all the way south to Mexico and ended his journey at the southern tip of Argentina.
Next Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at 6:00 PM Scott will be telling the tale of his 3 year adventure at the Grand County Public Library.
Spoke and Words: Tales From a 3 Year Mountain Bike Journey from Alaska to Argentina
Scott Pauker has recently returned to the US from a 3 year 32,000 mile off-road mountain bike journey from the Northern coast of Alaska to the Southern tip of Tierra del Fuego. During his journey Scott blended his greatest passions of adventure mountain biking, wilderness awareness and deep human connection, honestly sharing his highs and lows through his blog all along the way.
He now lives here in Moab, guiding mountain bike tours and is currently writing a book about his journeys. In his talk, Scott will share some photos and stories about his travels, the experience of living on a bicycle indefinitely and his choice to return to the USA.
